Terms and Conditions

1. General

​

  • The Terms and Conditions outlined are applicable to all services provided by Swim Focus.

  • Swim Focus reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions at any time.

2. Fees & Payment

  • Lessons are payable in advance in packages of five (5).

  • Lessons will only commence once payment has been received by the date specified on your invoice​.

  • The sharing of lesson packages is not permitted.

  • There will be no refunds or compensation for changes made to, or withdrawal from lessons, prior to the completion of your lesson package.

  • Trial lessons are chargeable.

  • Lessons will not run on public holidays.

3. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made with less than four (4) hours notice, for any reason, will incur full charge.

  • Cancellations for morning lessons must be provided before 7am to avoid full charge.

  • Provided that the 4 hour notice of cancellation is observed, a maximum of two (2) cancellations per five (5) lesson package is permitted without charge. Any lessons cancelled thereafter will incur full charge regardless of the notice provided.

  • Lesson placements will not be held for absences exceeding four (4) or more weeks.

  • For travel exceeding four (4) or more consecutive weeks, you may secure your lesson placement by paying for your next package. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your lesson placement.

  • Regular non-attendance will result in the forfeiture of your lesson placement.

5. Inclement Weather Policy

  • Lessons will proceed in the event of inclement weather unless there is direct communication from your instructor indicating otherwise.

  • Should your instructor cancel your lesson due to inclement weather there will be no charge.

  • If a lesson is half way complete, it will be chargeable.

  • If you do not hear from your instructor, you must provide adequate notice of cancellation or attend your lesson to avoid charge.

6. Disruptive Behaviour

  • Students whose behaviour disrupts the lesson will initially receive a verbal warning.

  • If the behaviour persists, a time out on the side of the pool will be given.

  • Continued disruptive behaviour will result in the student being asked to leave the lesson.

7. Withdrawal Procedure

  • Please email SwimFocus.sg@gmail.com to make a formal withdrawal.

  • Should you withdraw from lessons, there will be no refunds given for incomplete lesson packages.

  • Lesson packages are non transferrable​

  • Your instructor will strive to give one (1) months notice of a lesson termination.

  • Swim Focus reserves the right to terminate lessons without prior notice. You will be issued a refund for any remaining lessons in your package.

8. Waiver

  • There is an inherent risk of injury, whether caused by the service provider or someone else in the use of or presence at swimming pools. This risk includes, but is not limited to:

a) injuries arising from the use of any of the swim equipment, including any accidental slip or fall injuries

b) injuries arising from participation in supervised or unsupervised activities and programmes within the lesson location

c) injuries or medical disorders resulting from exercise at the lesson location, including but not limited to: heart attacks, stroke, heart stress, sprains, broken bones and torn muscles or ligaments

d) injuries resulting from the action taken or decisions made regarding medical or survival procedures

 

  • The student understands and voluntarily accepts all risks and agrees to assume all risk of injury, whether physical or mental, as well as risk of loss, theft or damage of personal property whilst using or present at the lesson location.

  • Once your/your child's swimming lesson has finished, Swim Focus will not be responsible for the supervision of you/your child.

  • We waive any and all claims that may arise against Swim Focus.

  • We shall in no event be liable for any death, injury, direct, indirect, special, exemplary, consequencial damages or other indirect damages or costs of any kind suffered or incurred by you or any third party arising from the use of Swim Focus services.
